The elegance of traditional Chinese painting depicts magnificent landscapes and vivid figures, reflecting the wisdom and aesthetic pursuit of the Chinese people. Chinese cuisine is famous all over the world. With its diverse flavors and cooking methods, it offers a delicious journey for people.

Folk art forms like paper-cutting and embroidery are also amazing expressions of Chinese culture. They are passed down from generation to generation, carrying the creativity and craftsmanship of the Chinese nation.

This way, more people can understand and appreciate the richness and beauty of Chinese culture.

the ninth day of the ninth lunar month

The "Chong Yang Festival" is celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, and it is as such known as the Double Ninth Festival.

Climbing mountains: On the Double Ninth Festival, people customarily climb mountains, appreciate chrysanthemum flowers, drink chrysanthemum wine, and eat double-ninth cakes. The Double Ninth Festival is also the "Old Men Festival". Old people are especially meant to improve their health by taking part in the activities on the day of the festival. Origins: The festival began as early as the Warring States Period (475 - 221 BC). According to the yin/yang dichotomy that forms a basis to the Chinese world view, yin represents the elements of darkness and yang represents life and brightness. The number nine is regarded as yang. The ninth day of the ninth month is a double yang day, hence the name "Chong Yang Festival". (Chong means "repeat" in Chinese.)

The ninth month also heralds the approach of winter. It is a time when the living need warm clothing, and filial Chinese sons and daughters extended this to make the festival a time for providing winter clothes for their ancestors. The Double Ninth Festival, therefore, also became an occasion to visit the graves of dead family members. Clothes made of paper would then be burnt as offerings. Family get-togethers: The Double Ninth Festival is also a time for family get-togethers.

It is an occasion to remember one‘s ancestors, the sacrifices they made and the hardships they underwent. Often, family outings are organised during which people search to renew their appreciation of nature and to reaffirm their love and concern for family members and close friends.

China, a country with a long history and profound culture, has always been a treasure trove of human civilization. As we step into the global stage, it is our responsibility to spread Chinese culture.

Chinese culture is diverse and extensive. Traditional Chinese calligraphy, with its elegant strokes and profound artistic conception, is like a beautiful poem on paper. The charm of Chinese painting, with its vivid expressions and unique styles, presents the beauty of nature and human life. Chinese martial arts, such as Tai Chi and Kung Fu, not only demonstrate physical strength but also embody the spirit of perseverance and self-discipline.

Chinese cuisine is also renowned worldwide. With its rich flavors and diverse cooking methods, it satisfies the palates of people from all over the world. From delicate dim sum to spicy Sichuan dishes, each has its own unique charm.

In addition, traditional Chinese festivals, like Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, carry rich cultural connotations. They are occasions for family reunions, expressing peoples longing for a better life and respect for traditions.

To spread Chinese culture, we can start from small things. We can introduce Chinese culture to foreign friends through conversations and exchanges. We can also participate in cultural activities organized at home and abroad, showing the world the unique charm of Chinese culture. We can use social media and the Internet to share Chinese cultural stories and artworks, making more people understand and fall in love with Chinese culture.

In conclusion, spreading Chinese culture is not only a mission but also a contribution to the world. Let us take action and let the splendid Chinese culture shine brightly on the global stage.

The comic reflects the image of our modern world in which technology has been an inseparable part of people’s daily life. As is shown, the man in the picture uses a laptop at work and home, for business and entertainment, so obsessed that he even dreams about bending over his laptop.

It is undeniable that this has been a common scene and the overuse of computers has aroused great concern. In my opinion, people should be cautious of the excessive use of computers for the following reasons. In the first place, it will inevitably affect people’s health if they sit before computers and stare at the screens for long hours, which may result in muscle pain and visual impair. Secondly, playing computers alone isolates people from others. Relationships in the real world are maintained through human contact and spending time with each other instead of chitchatting online. In summary, people should cut down their computer use for health and social reasons. Computers are not controllers but tools in our life.

"Made in China" is a label attached to the products manufactured in China. Owing to the advantages of rich labor resources and raw material resources in China, products made in China are well-received in the world on account of their competitive price and superior quality. "Made in China" has become a recognizable label in the world today thanks to the rapid development of the manufacturing industry in China. At present, China has become the world’s manufacturing center and is named "World Workshop". Although globally a great number of electronic products and shoes are made in China, all their designs are completed in European and American countries. Nowadays a growing number of Chinese companies are devoting themselves to establishing their own brands, hoping to be transformed from "Made in China" into "Designed in China".
